This manual is primarily for network and system administrators who are implementing HSNM Hotspot Manager to provision guest access on their networks.
The installer needs to have basic knowledge about network installation, TCP/IP protocol and virtual environment. The specific requirements, applicable to HSNM, must be gained by reading this manual and by performing setups and tests before live deployments.
The scope of this document includes all the information required to configure and administer HSNM Printer.

| Term | Meaning |
| Card | A card generated by a specific HSNM procedure, containing a username and a password for login. It is also linked to a product defined during generation. |
| Firmware | The system software installed in the printer. |
| HSNM | The HSNM platform. |
| HSNM Printer | A printer integrated with HSNM, capable of creating and printing Cards and Vouchers. There are two printer models, the 5000 model (supplied until June 2018, no longer in production) which allows LAN and WiFi connections, and the 6000 model which supports WiFi and GPRS. |
| Voucher | A prepaid token linked to a HSNM product that contains a GUID. During registration or recharge, the user can select the voucher as a payment method and enter the GUID, eliminating the need for credit card payment. |
