Release Notes
We are proud to announce a new software version for your HSNM. This update brings important improvements to your platform.
These release notes accompany the HSNM Software Release 7.0 (Stable).
WARNING: you cannot downgrade to a previous software version after installing version 7.0.116
NEW! Now you can target users based on their profile. There is a new “Target” panel when entering the campaign data, which allows you to define the filter for targeting the AD campaigns.
Now, for example, you can choose to show a specific campaign only if the guest is a male and over eighteen. A further check allows you to declare if the campaign can also be shown to anonymous users.
NEW! If you delete a campaign that has a cost for impressions and/or clicks, it now creates a negative transaction in the prepaid advertising credit in order to take into account the cost generated.
NEW! The negative transaction created in the prepaid credit for advertising due to the cancellation of a campaign now also contains a reference description justifying the amount.
NEW! In the Intro of the templates and campaigns, you can now define an image uploaded from file.
NEW! In the Background of the templates of the Welcome Portal, you can now define an image uploaded from file.
NEW! Improved the Welcome Portal loading performance by 30% and reduced CPU load.
NEW! Added in the domain the new “QR Code & Connect. Without registration nor password” authentication method. Only users who scan the QR Code will be able to login.
NEW! Added the possibility to download a PDF with the QR Code and the instructions for logging in with the “QR Code & Connect. Without registration nor password” authentication method
NEW! Now you can print cards with the “QRCode” to facilitate the access without having to enter the username and password. In case you use this method, we recommend you to disable the CNA.
NEW! Added the possibility to print the QR Code to automatically connect to the WiFi network with the correct SSID.
NEW! Changed the backend page displaying the route of the gateways in order to avoid the Google services that are charged
NEW! Improved tracking of GPS coordinates of moving gateways.
NEW! Added the “Refresh” button in the Map of the Gateway as to update their position without having to exit the page. It is useful to update the position if you have moving gateways (buses, taxis, trains, etc.). The update is also performed automatically every thirty seconds.
NEW! Improved the polyline that highlights the gateway route in the map. If there are any disconnections, they are now highlighted. Changed the thickness of the polyline to make it more evident.
NEW! We added the “Ubiquiti UniFi Controller” gateway type. Just pay attention as Ubiquiti Unifi Controller has many limitations and errors in managing radius. To work around this, the system must be able to reach the UniFi Controller via UDP in the port defined in the configuration, and it’s necessary to enable all the “Radius” panel checks in the gateway configuration.
NEW! We added the “Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise Omniaccess Stellar” gateway type and the HTTPS support to Alcatel-Lucent type of gateways.
NEW! Now the system supports also the “TP-Link Omada (Beta)” hardware type.
NEW! It has been added a button to automatically upload the configuration to your MikoTik. This new feature will facilitate the configuration and avoid errors. The gateway must be reachable from the system.
Now the automatic configuration of MikroTik gateways self-configures everything.
NEW! It now supports MikroTik-type gateways with LTE and GPS.
NEW! Automatic upgrade of scripts on MikroTik type of gateways.
NEW! Improved the scripts on MikroTik. If communication problems occurred, in some cases part of the gateway configuration was lost.
NEW! On MikroTik-type gateways and reachable via network, both on Hotspot and PPPoE domains, the system automatically disconnects the user when the product is changed, if you block the user or if during the validation of the email you assign a different product.
NEW! In the MikroTik-type gateway configuration, fields have been added to be able to choose the SSL certificate to use and to define the domain name (DNS-Name). If later you change the certificate assigned to the gateway or if you change the certificates defined centrally on “SSL Certificates”, for example for renewal, the certificates installed on the gateways will be updated automatically.
NEW! In each the domain you can now specify the custom mask that defines the format of the self-generated usernames and passwords. If not defined, it uses the ones specified in “System Settings”
NEW! In the “Radius” panel of the gateway configuration, it has been added a new check that allows you to activate the system for verifying the consumption/expirations without the support of the radius. It is useful if the gateway does not support all the necessary radius attributes. The system independently controls the total, monthly or daily time/traffic and the expiration. It automatically disconnects the users when they reach the limits imposed by the product. In order to activate it, the gateway must be reachable by the system.
NEW! Added an option in the configuration of gateways and physical access points to define whether or not to send the status notifications.
NEW! Now you have the possibility to search by bypasses or locks for IP, MAC address, or subnet
NEW! In the “Database Optimizations” section of the “System Settings”, the fields “Keep Detailed Connection Logs for” and “Keep Detailed Advertising Logs for” have been added to define in a more specific way how to compress the data. Previously these logs were shared with the “Keep Detailed Logs for” option.
NEW! We have added the creation date and the group code when printing the vouchers already activated.
NEW! Improved the performance of the login procedure that checks if the device is already connected. In very busy systems, this phase could be critical.
NEW! Added at system, reseller and manager level the management of the SSL certificates. It is therefore possible to generate KEYs and CSRs to request certificates to CAs, add certificates obtained with KEYs, CSRs and INTERMEDIATEs. In the list of certificates, you are displayed the domain, the release date and the expiration date, which allow checking and managing subsequent renewals.
NEW! We have changed the “System Settings” section to support the new management of the certificates. Therefore we have removed the old certificate management.
NEW! Added the monitoring page that allows displaying various graphs that allows understanding how and what the low-level system is doing for CPU, RAM, SWAP, disk, applications, databases and networks. To display it, it is necessary to install the update, return to the update page and install “The low-level monitoring system”. To access, open the “System” contextual menu and choose “System Monitor”.
NEW! Changed the editing page of the reseller to support the new management of the certificates for the “Enterprise” edition. Removed the old certificate management.
We have used a different system for the data encryption (AES 256 CBC), we extended the available endpoints to facilitate daily tasks and run all data operations (read, write, search and delete). All of the user data in the portal is available to you through API. Our API makes it simple for you to integrate with HSNM allowing you to send data straight into your CRM, ERP and systems.
Our APIs are secure, restful and outputs data in JSON format which makes the data much faster at transferring between systems.
