Configuring HSNM Printer

As previously described, “HSNM Printer” is a particular printer containing a firmware and software specially designed for integration with HSNM and it requires a simple first setup.

Below you will find the various steps to be performed to enable the printer and connect it to HSNM.

Configuring the Domain

First, you need to edit the domain and enable the products for printing Cards and/or Vouchers.
To do this, click the propertiesFirst you have to edit the domain and enable the products for printing Cards and/or Vouchers. To perform it, click on the properties button of the involved domain and select “ Edit”.

Next, navigate to Products for the Users, expand the desired products and enable Enable Printing Cards and/or Enable Printing Vouchers.

Additionally, in the Printing Group, you can enter a description for each product group to help operators make selections when multiple products are available. For example, you could use descriptions such as “Free” and “Premium”. If multiple products share the same description, the printer will display only the group code, allowing the operator to select from the products within that group.

Adding the Printer to the Gateway

The next step is to add the printer to the gateway including in the domain previously configured.

Click on the properties button of the gateway and choose “ Add Printer”.

Enter the data and click on ” Save”.

Downloading Printer Configuration File

After you have followed the previous steps, now you can generate and download the printer auto-configuration file to import into the printer. Click on the properties button of printer and choose “ Download the Printer Configuration File”.

Save the file to the path that you prefer to use in the next steps.

The selection/confirmation of menu options is performed using the green “OK” button. To cancel a procedure, press the “CANCEL” button at the top right of the printer keyboard.

Connecting the Printer to a Network

The printer can be configured in two ways:

  • Wired connection (available only for Model 5000) using a network cable.
  • Wireless connection for both models.

Wired Connection (Available only for GT500W Model)

Connect the printer via Ethernet cable to a network with active DHCP in order an IP address is assigned automatically.

Wireless Connection

The printer is designed to connect to WiFi networks using WPA encryption. To connect the printer to the network, simply enter the WiFi network name (SSID) and password in the designated configuration fields.
