To be able to define a client/IP that can make queries to the Family DNS, you need to add a PPPoE-type domain (although no PPPoE requests will actually be made) that will contain the users with their router’s IP address or client.
To add the domain, you need to perform the following steps:
- From the Data tab on the left, expand the treeview up to the manager level. If necessary, add a new reseller and manager.
- Click the context menu of the manager and select “ Add Domain”.
- Enter the domain name.
- In the “Authentication Mode”, choose “PPPoE”.
- If you need to collect or/and have user data completed, expand the “Data to Customise User Registration” panel and activate the desired options.
- If you need to save statistics for the most queried domains, expand the “Family DNS” panel and enable the “Save Statistics of the Domains” field.
- Press the Save button on the top-right corner to confirm the entry of a new domain.
